Funding to help save money? Find out how Local Authorities can be supported

The LGA Productivity Experts Programme has helped over 70 councils to realise ambitious efficiency savings or generate significant income totalling more than £140 million.

If your council require additional skills capacity or expertise to realise efficiency savings; or is your council looking to transform key services; you plan to improve your approach to procurement or become more commercially focused then this scheme could help you.

The programme provides funding to councils to enabling them to engage an expert to provide the necessary skills and expertise to help deliver efficiency savings.

The expert would be agreed with you and the LGA would help to fund an initial period of support. The expert could be from another council, public sector organisation or the private sector and will have successfully implemented a project with results similar to what you are trying to achieve.
